Assembly Time

So I found a way to get my side wall and missing front piece from the dollhouse I was working on and can move on towards assembling it.

Then I realized, at some point, I would want to have it painted, so it’s not a drab wood colour all the time, and figured the easiest way to have that done is to paint it before assembly.

I’ve put together dollhouses before painting them, and it is indeed easier to paint before assembly, especially since I don’t have hands for precision strokes all the time.  But, painting in pieces in incredibly time consuming.  Painting the pieces in the right colour scheme is also quite difficult when there are a jumble of different pieces.

After painting so many different pieces though, I’ve familiarized myself with where each one should go, so assembly will be a snap once the paint job is done.
