Surprise, Surprise

Yesterday was the Annual West Coast Dollhouse and Miniature Show, hosted by the Miniature Club of British Columbia.  Unfortunately, there seems to be fewer and fewer vendors each year.  It was still worth the drive out to Burnaby though because it’s just great to be in the same room as people who share the same fascination with miniatures, to look at other people’s creative works, and just to chat with people and get new project ideas.

I was worried I’d put a bit of a dent in my wallet, but I think I managed to have a little self control this time.  What was fantastic was that one vendor was selling grab bags at $2 each.  Given the price and the thrill of a surprise in the bags, I just had to have a few.  I have so many projects swimming around in my head anyway, having some material items that I can actually use or incorporate into my ideas might actually get the process started a whole lot quicker.

So I ended up getting 5 bags, and I am kicking myself for not getting more, because inside the bags were quite the loot.

There are a lot of things I could use and with so many projects I am eager to get started on, I just might not leave my cave for the next few weeks…
