Hand Sewn Mocassins

All the way back in March, I attended a workshop on how to make moccasins from recycled leather at Blim.  The instructor was amazing in teaching us techniques.  At the time, I made a pair of moccasins that ended up being a little too small for my feet so I gave them to my mom.  I had been meaning to make myself a pair but summer rolled around and I didn’t need to wrap my feet in something warm, so the project fell into a “to do” pile.  Well, now that fall is around the corner and I have to put away my open-toed shoes, I pulled my supplies from the pile and started work.

This is the “Inca Boot” style.  I’m going to try to make the “Scout” for my next moccasin project.

Glass Bubble Baubles

I had a few of my glass bubbles left from a Winter Holiday craft workshop and an abundance of miniature knick knacks that haven’t yet found their way into my dollhouses, so I decided to do some experiments with them.

I also made them with my colleagues in mind, so each piece inside is reflective of their interests.  All the pieces inside were handmade except for the shoe (Barbie shoe).

They turned out pretty well for an experiment.  Everyone was delighted and have them hanging up in their cubicles!
